Baker’s falls, one of the prettiest water falls in Sri Lanka is located in the Horton plains National Park. It got its name in memory of Sir Samuel Baker, Who was a famous explorer in Sri Lanka. The Baker’s falls generated by a tribute of Belihul-Oya is 22m in height and it falls in two steps. That means it has two drops. Baker’s falls is a cascade type water fall. Cascade type water falls descend on a serious of Rock steps that isn’t separated. You can find various Fern and Rhododendron bushes nearby.
Since the Horton Plains is a catchment area, the Baker’s falls slips monotonously all over the year. So you can visit Baker’s falls at any time of the year. When you pay a visit to World's End and Horton Plains don’t forget to visit here too. But we a fortiori advice you that it’s dangerous to have a bath in strange places.Please visit these sceneries only if you really like the nature.
